How to get here: two ferries, one orchard.

We are at 3879 Illinois River Road in Brussels, Illinois, about three miles from the Brussels Ferry. Getting across the river is part of the fun. Here is how it works from either side.

From the Illinois side

The Brussels Ferry, free from Grafton.

Coming from Alton or Grafton, follow the Great River Road and take the Brussels Ferry across the Illinois River. It runs around the clock and it is free, operated by the state. On the other side, you are only minutes from the orchard.

From the Missouri side

The Golden Eagle Ferry.

Coming from the St. Charles area, the Golden Eagle Ferry crosses the Mississippi for a small fee and brings you into Calhoun County from the west. From there it is a short drive over to Brussels. From St. Louis, plan on sixty to ninety minutes either way. See our day-trip guide.
